The MOM Call takes place every Wednesday and is your opportunity to hear from various House services, receive useful updates, and ask questions.

If you manage your Members’ Office and you have not received an invitation to this recurring event, please email MMSST@parliament.uk from your parliamentary account and ask to be added.

Regular speakers include IPSA, Members’ HR, Parliamentary Security, Parliamentary Digital Services, the Vote Office, Parliamentary Safety Team, the Restoration and Renewal project team, the Participation team, Information Compliance. There are also speakers from external organisations.

After each meeting, MMSST will send out a round-up email to those registered.

The Members and Members’ staff Services Team invites all new Members’ Staff to join us for a two hour Welcome to Parliament induction session.

Aims:​

  1. To welcome you to the Parliamentary community​
  2. To give you an awareness of Teams across the House and how they can support you in your new roles.

The session is interactive and will include polls, quizzes, and case study examples – please come prepared to engage and get involved.

This week’s guest speakers on the MOM call will be Dementia UK. Find out about supporting constituents affected by the condition, and how to access free, bespoke training sessions for your team, delivered by dementia specialist Admiral Nurses.

Members’ Staff Annual Conference 2025

The Members and Members’ Staff Services Team (MMSST) invites you to attend the first ever Members’ Staff Annual Conference.

The event will take place on Wednesday 19 March 2025, and will be a hybrid event with spaces available to attend in-person (Portcullis House) and online via Teams.

The conference will spotlight the crucial role that Members’ staff play in supporting constituencies and parliamentary work.

The day will feature a series of workshops led by both internal and external guest speakers, all centred around the theme of housing.
