How the Work of the Bank of England Affects Your Constituents

The Bank’s wide-ranging work – on interest rates, the safety of the financial system, managing the UK’s high-value payment system, and supplying genuine, difficult-to-counterfeit banknotes, among other areas – directly affects people and businesses up and down the country.

With an interest rate decision on 20th March, this will be an ideal opportunity to ask your questions and learn more about the work of the Bank of England.

Members’ Staff Tours of Derby Gate Library

Not sure where to find it and want to know more about the services offered here? Why not come on a tour of the Derby Gate Library. Tours will be running at 10am and 2pm on the following dates:

  • Wed 26th March
  • Wed 30th April
  • Wed 21st May
  • Wed 25th June

Tours are expected to last approx. 20minutes. A maximum of 10 people per tour.:

The tour will start in Portcullis House by the Despatch Box Coffee Shop and we’ll escort you to Derby Gate Library from there.

London and Parliament: From the Medieval to the Modern

Join the History of Parliament’s experts to explore London’s political and parliamentary history.

In collaboration with University College London (UCL), the History of Parliament trust invites you to explore London’s political and parliamentary history from the medieval period to the modern day.

The event will feature speakers from the History of Parliament, as well as a presentation from UCL students. This will feature an interactive map designed to connect students and young Londoners with London’s political and parliamentary heritage.

Members’ Staff Annual Conference 2025

The Members and Members’ Staff Services Team (MMSST) invites you to attend the first ever Members’ Staff Annual Conference.

The event will take place on Wednesday 19 March 2025, and will be a hybrid event with spaces available to attend in-person (Portcullis House) and online via Teams.

The conference will spotlight the crucial role that Members’ staff play in supporting constituencies and parliamentary work.

The day will feature a series of workshops led by both internal and external guest speakers, all centred around the theme of housing.
