Did you know there is a choir at Westminster?

The Parliament Choir welcomes as a member anyone who works at the UK Parliament – Members, their staff, and parliamentary officials.  We rehearse on Monday evenings, when the Houses of Parliament are sitting, usually in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft off Westminster Hall.

We are a very friendly group of all ages made up of House staff, Parliamentary staff, MPs and Peers.  But rank and position are left at the door.  All that matters is a love of choral singing.

The Parliament Choir usually performs three or four concerts a year in various venues in London, and occasionally elsewhere in the UK and abroad.

We work closely with the wonderful Southbank Sinfonia which is made up of a constantly changing group of exciting young professional musicians.  We even have an annual trip to a music festival in Tuscany.  What is not to like?!

Membership of the Parliament Choir is open to all who work at the UK Parliament – MPs, Members of the House of Lords, Members’ staff, and parliamentary officials. There are no auditions for parliamentary passholders.

If you are interested in joining the choir or want to find out more, please contact our Chief Executive, Anna Yallop at yallopa@parliament.uk or our Choir Manager, Virginia Hawkins at secretary@parliamentchoir.org.uk or just come along to a rehearsal.
